New Development: Allan Saint-Maximin's Update on Injury at Damac
Allan Saint-Maximin, the French forward for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has been out injured since September and is yet to return to training. The 26-year-old suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee during PSG's 4-1 win over Lens on October 27.
Saint-Maximin underwent surgery to repair the ligament damage but was unable to participate in any pre-season training or fitness sessions before the start of the new season. As a result, he has missed the first two months of the campaign and is now set to miss more time as he continues his recovery process.
The news comes just days after it was revealed that Saint-Maximin had undergone another operation to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. This setback has put further strain on the player's recovery plan and means that he will be out of action for even longer than initially anticipated.
Despite the setbacks, Saint-Maximin remains hopeful that he can return to full fitness and resume his role as one of PSG's key players this season. He has previously stated that he wants to play every minute of the season and contribute to the team's success.
In the meantime, PSG have signed a number of new signings ahead of the new season,Primeira Liga Tracking including Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Angel Di Maria. With such a strong squad, it remains to be seen how Saint-Maximin will fit into their plans and what impact his absence will have on the team's performance.
As the season progresses, we'll keep you updated with all the latest developments from the French capital. Stay tuned!
